#LIFE – 25 BEFORE 25

Having goals is so important to me because I’m the kinda gal who always needs something to next achieve or work towards. When I finished uni and got a job I felt so lost because I’d achieved everything that younger Bibi had aspired to, it’s such a weird feeling to encounter. So I drafted up a 30 before 30 list but soon realised that’s like 8 and a bit years away (I’m 21, 22 in June), I need something within a shorter period of time! So here we have, my 25 before 25!

1. RUN A 5K

Nah not joking when I say I’m a fat girl in a skinny girls body, I am SO unfit. I can run for about 90 seconds on the treadmill before entering near cardiac arrest so wish me luck with this one.

2. SEE A FOOTBALL GAME IN BARCELONA

I really want to go to Barcelona, and after seeing a football game in Madrid I am so ready for part 2 in Barcelona.

3. CLIMB MOUNT SNOWDON

You may read that and think ??? u ain’t a climbing gal ??? but when I was younger I spent a lot of time in Scotland and my Uncle would take me up some of the hills (with a promise that we could get a can of pop and some crisps in the village pub on the way back down) and it was really fun. I’m ready for a modern day Bibi version which consists of a girls trip to Wales, some climbing, processo and maybe a spa afterwards.

4. SEE BEYONCE LIVE (DONE)

I have done this but this has been on my bucket list since forever.

5. BE PAID OVER 25K

Gals got to start as a girl boss somewhere…

6. SAVE A MINIUM OF 2.5K

I am horrific with money so in my twenties is where I learn to save, and having a target to get to actually seems more serious.

7. SEE BRITNEY SPEARS LIVE

Booked for August 2018, I am SO ready and don’t care if she lip syncs.

8. WATCH AN ENGLAND FOOTBALL GAME

Not in the pub or at home, like in actual real life.

9. HAVE AFTERNOON TEA AT SKETCH

I want to go to Sketch soooooo bad.

10. VISIT NEW YORK

I have never been to the Concrete Jungle! My only trip to America was Miami last September but that resulted in being stranded in Florida during Hurricane Irma so not the best of experiences.

11. BUY MYSELF A DESIGNER HANDBAG

Well this sums me up doesn’t it, ‘save up 2.5k’ also ‘buy an expensive bag’. I’ve already got the Celine and Gucci but the bag collection needs to expand, my future daughter will thank me for it.

12. LEARN HOW TO BUDGET

Lol, I hate adult life

13. OVERCOME A FEAR

I don’t know what fear, but tbh I can’t see myself getting over spiders anytime soon.

14. GO GLAMPING

Lots of fairy lights and processo included

15. HOST A DINNER PARTY

I am a great cook, I just need a great space to be a host

16. EAT SOMETHING WEIRD

Like, Octopus or something

17. GO TO A FESTIVAL

The only camping festival I’ve done is T In The Park which was UNREAL. I need a round 2 but I’ve always been scared that it wont be as good at my TITP memories.

18. LEARN TO SPEAK FRENCH

Like properly, not just Bonjour and the rest being English with a French accent.

19. SEE A WEST END MUSICAL

Can you believe I have never done this! Well, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I was like 5 doesn’t count because I can’t remember it.

20. GO INDOOR SKY DIVING

I’m too scared for the real thing, so this will test me first.

22. TRAVEL AROUND ITALY

Random but Italy has a really good train system, and it’s cheap. I’d love to visit Pisa, Florence, Venice, Naples, the Amalfi Coast… list goes on

23. HAVE A PET

I am never giving up on my dreams of having a Sausage Dog, never.

24. HAVE BETTER POSTURE

Lol this one is for my mum. Sitting at a desk 9-5 all day makes you so slouchy! and I really don’t want a slouchy back when I’m older either.

25. SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

I’m not sure how I’ll deal with the cold but I am SO keen to go and see these in Iceland. Alongside having a dip in the Blue Lagoon.

#LIFE – I’M NOW ON YOUTUBE/BERLIN TRIP

SO I finally attempted to start up my YouTube channel, with a vlog from Berlin! The Paris one WILL be on its way soon I just can’t seem to get my head around editing just yet. I’m so nervous for it to go up, its far from perfect and very obviously a first attempt. I don’t understand how I’ve managed to set up my own site and learnt to HTML my way through it but I just can’t get my head around YouTube… its so much harder than I thought!

My camera actually died so this doesn’t show everything from my trip, but you get the jist of it all. I also don’t think my camera is very good with film, I have a Fuji X100 or something which is amazing for photos but for film I think I need something Sony or Canon based, suggestions below please!

So alongside the vlog I thought I’d share some photos from my trip, I thought I took so many more but I evidently didn’t.

#FASHUN – MY TRAVEL STYLE DIARY

If you follow me on Instagram, you may of realised that I was a slight jet setter over the festive period. Not soz. Instead of documenting each trip I thought I’d do a post with the trips combined. It may just be nice to see where my outfits were from or how to dress for -3 freezing weather. Ive tried to add the details for every item but some may be out of stock… sorry!

PARIS

For new year I went to Paris for 5 days with 2 days at Disneyland on NYE/NYD. The other days were for exploring and shopping and lots of Sephora visits. It was so cold so I pre planned and actually bought thermals from Uniqlo. So #fasHUN I know right?! They were actually amazing and worked wonders I honestly don’t know what I would of done without them. I bought some leather (faux) trousers from Topshop as I thought they would be ideal for keeping in body heat, which they obvi were. I took the Celine with me on the trip as you can fit so many essentials in it and the detachable pouches are ideal if you want to carry more or less.

Jacket: Topshop. It’s real feathers (turkey to be exact) and went into sale so keep an eye out in store! It’s currently sold out online.

Hoodie: This is another Topshop sale purchase, I bought the tall version as I wanted it oversized.

Bag: Celine. This needs no explanation apart from it’s my life. And yes, it does get its own seat at the table. I even did a blog post on it, here.

Trousers: Topshop. Although there’s a newer version here which are nicer.

Shoes: & Other Stories. I bought these over a year ago in Amsterdam and they’re so comfy to wear. They were perfect to travel with because they add height but because of the platform they’re actually quite flat so comfy to walk in.

Hat/Gloves: I mean my hat is just a basic woolly Pom Pom from H&M last year, my gloves are Topshop. They’re super warm and have touchscreen embedded fingertips SO ideal!

DISNEYLAND

Disneyland was SO cold, it was -3 and because it’s out in the open and not built up like a city you really feel the cold more. Because I wore thermals and layers I could feel the cold on my face only which was really weird, a balaclava would of been ideal but that’s not quite fasHUN.  I pretty much wore the same outfit but changed my shoes and bag. I put on trainers for extra comfort and I decided to change bag as I didn’t want to damage the Celine on any rides. On day 2 of Disney I swapped the leather look trousers for black Topshop Jamie jeans (holy grail).

Bag: Topshop, it’s so handy and beaut. As it’s real leather it looks better as it ages.

Shoes: These are super old Liberty London X Nike. They probably came out about 3/4 years ago? You can find them on depop/eBay but I think they’re quite pricey.

I’d never been to Disneyland before and it was SO magical I didn’t want to leave. I honestly recommend it so much. If you can I would go for 2 days as if you go for only one you might end up spending the majority of it queuing. For the 2 days the ticket is about £100 but worth it, you really do get an experience with it alongside the rides. We didn’t stay in a Disneyland resort hotel, our hotel was near the Effiel Tower and we just got the train to Disneyland which was only 7€ plus as we went on NYE/NYD it was free travel!

AMSTERDAM

I love Amsterdam it’s such a beautiful city. I was supposed to move out there this year as part of a university year abroad but I decided that the year out wasn’t for me for a numerous reasons. I think deffo in the future I could see myself living in Amsterdam. If you go to visit you have to go to Thrill Grill burger restaurant! And obviously visit the Anne Frank house. Yes you have to queue but it’s worth it, it really is. I was expecting it to just be a room of the house but it’s actually the whole house and it’s actually quite touching. Anyway, Amsterdam was also cold but not as much as Paris. I still packed my thermals though!

Jacket: This is from Zara, it’s actually in the sale!

Top: Another Zara sale purchase, it’s just a plain black jersey top which I got in a L to be oversized.

Jeans: Classic Topshop Jamie jeans.

Shoes: & Other Stories as before

Bag: Celine as before

#LIFE – BISHES GOT A YACHT

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably would of noticed I’ve been a bit of a jet setter recently….  #notsoz. When I finish my third term of uni in June, I will then go straight into a work placement for a year so the Easter holidays were my chance to have a summer holiday. Perfectly valid excuse if you ask me.

My friends and I decided that we would go to the Canary Islands as they’re the closest to the equator and have a spring like climate all year round. The hotels were pretty average so we had a look on Air BnB and found this AMAZING yacht in Gran Canaria. All the reviews seemed pretty legit so we decided to go ahead and book. Best decision ever.

I’m not sure if I’d go back to Gran Canaria as I feel like I’ve seen what I needed to see. If the yacht was located in the South of France then I’d be in my element. Also, never ever fly with Ryan Air, legit worst experience of my life. Just pay extra and go Easy Jet. Trust.

#HAUL – SEPHORA

IMG_0342.JPG

I recently went to Gran Canaria (blog post to follow) and OBVI finding Sephora was at the top of my list. Here’s the d-low on my purchases:

Sephora Blurring Effect Primer: This primer is SO good, I was never a believer in primers until I started using this. It smooths out the skin and creates an even surface. It’s perfect for those with spots or acne.

Sephora 12 Hour Eye Primer:  I bought this because I was desperate for a new eye primer and didn’t want to splurge on Urban Decay. It does the job, it’s no Urban Decay though.

Sephora Creamy Concealer: Intrigued by the wand as it’s the same style as the Urban Decay Naked concealer. A good dupe.

Sephora Lip Liners: I double up on these whenever I purchase because they’re so small. They’re so creamy and easy to blend with so many lipsticks. If you like MAC lip liners which are a bit more hard and pencil like, then avoid these.

Sephora Pomegranate Face Mask: These masks are like sheets which you place over your face for approx 15 minutes. They’re so great if your skin needs a quick refresh before applying make up or going to bed.

Sephora Pomegranate Eye Mask: I get really dry skin around my eyes which if left untreated leads to horrific eczema. When I see the symptoms coming, I use one of these for approx 20 minutes to refresh and moisturise my eyes. Works a treat.

Sleek Contour Duo (Light & Dark): Tbh I probably could of just bought these in the UK. Gorgeous colours for a mix of skin tones. You can use these as blushers, bronzers, contour powders, eyeshadows and highlighters. I need to purchase the Medium palette.

Marc Jacobs The Face 3: Right, I am 100% not the type of person to spend £37 on a foundation brush. Full review on this to follow…

Two Faced Melted Chocolate Liquid Lipstick: I bought one of these a few months back and love it. They’re really good at moisturising my lips too! They smell amazing, the chocolate ones legit smell of chocolate too. The applicator gets a bit rank after a while though. I think when these first came out they were great, but the formula could do with improving to help keep up with competitors.

Sephora Illuminating Foundation: I think I just need to dedicate a whole blog post to this foundation. It’s amazing. Fully rate it.

Sephora Colour Correct Highlighting Pen: Bit average, didn’t really need this tbh. I was just intrigued.

Sephora Lipstick: This is the third time I’ve gone into Sephora and bought the same shade of lipstick by accident. This shade (I think is called ingenious) is a great dupe of my fave MAC Viva Glam 2.

#LIFE – BISHES IN PARIS

As part of my degree we were lucky enough to go on a trip to Paris for a few days, here’s a few of my favourite images from the trip. Click on the images for the story behind the photo!
